About Us
Family Circle Care Ltd,
a private organisation established in 2000, currently providing
6000 hours of care per week.We pride ourselves in being able
to offer care packages to meet individual needs. From
providing a half hour personal care visit to providing 24 hour
home care for any member of the family – ranging from
birth to old age. We
offer a flexible and professional service, tailored to your
care requirements, whilst respecting our service users privacy,
dignity, independence and choice.
Having our head office in Edinburgh and a sub office in Haddington,
East Lothian, we are able to provide care to clients within
the Scottish Borders, East Lothian, Midlothian, West Lothian
and Edinburgh.
Our aim by the end of 2008, is to operate further sub
offices in Midlothian, West Lothian and the Borders with the
Edinburgh Office being the centralised base opening 24/7 and
offering a rapid response service throughout the night.
To coin a phrase “one call does it all!” – Family
Circles aim to be the number one care provider in answering
the need of every care requirement.
Our Staff
Zandra Macpherson BA.
RGN. - QA
Director, has been with the Company for six years and now
spends her time focusing on the Quality Assurance System
within Family Circles.
Denise Williams. EN -
is our Home care Manager responsible for acceptance and implementation
of all care packages. She
carries out risk assessments, closely works with her Team Leaders
out in the field and liaises with Social Workers and Health
Professionals. Denise oversees the client care needs
and quality service our carers provide giving guidance and
support where needed.
Lynda Graham. RMN Operational Manager - Responsible
for the organisation and daily running of both Edinburgh and
Haddington Offices. Lynda’s wealth of experience
within the nursing environment enhances her knowledge on the
various client needs in which we provide care. General
operations include keeping contracts up to date, staffing levels,
legislations updates, care commission reviews and tendering.
Hester Davies – SVQ
lll/Trainer in
Health and Social Care – Hester is one of our Team Leaders/Trainers
responsible for care packages within her zone and the training
of new recruits on Moving and Handling and Induction. She
is also responsible for mentoring her team of carers and supporting
their needs. Hester works closely with our Care home
Manager in the provision of client care.
Mary Leitch – Team Leader – Care
at Home – SVQ III in Health and Social Care
joins Hester as Team Leader – Mary’s remit is
to lead the 2 care packages – having 10 years experience
working in the Astley Ainslie Hospital, she has leaped into
this challenge.
Moira Workman – SVQ III – Assessor – Moira
has worked with the Company for five years and is working towards
her A1 Assessor Unit in Health and Social Care – it gives
the Company great pleasure to see Moira develop further throughout
the Company Development Programme.
Linda Cummings – Team Leader – Care
at Home Having worked with the Company on
a weekend permanent contract as Senior Care Worker, Linda feels
she can make a difference to the quality of care with taking
on the post as Team Leader, responsible for over 25 care
packages - welcome Linda !
Murdo Stevenson. Finance Director - responsible
for the running of the Accounts Departments and all issues
relating with payroll and accounts payable/receivable. All
costing/quotations of care packages and Murdo negotiates Contracts.
Sarah Mackie. Care Co-ordinator - Sarah
is responsible for the recruitment of nursing home care staff
and child carers. Having started with the Company as an administration
assistant in Jan 05, Sarah has progressed onto Care Co-ordinator
and is committed to growing new business within the Nursing
Home/Childcare sector. Sarah works along with Laura
and Rochelle in the Units Division.
Amanda Reid, Care Co-ordinator – works
as part of the Care at Home Team - having worked 10 years as
a Co-ordinator in care at home Down South, her expertise and
calmness brings a breath of fresh air at the most stressful
times ! Amanda is also responsible for accepting all
care at home packages.
Laura Thomson, Care Co-ordinator – works
as part of the Care at Home Team – joined the Co with
years of experience as a care worker and enjoys the co-ordinating
as well as the hands on care work within the Community. Laura
is also responsible for the recruitment for all care at home
staff.
Irene Lawrie. Bookings
Co-ordinator - An
experienced worker within the Healthcare Sector, Irene is part
of the Care at Home Bookings Team. Having spent most
of her years working within a nursing home on the administration
side, her wealth of experience in relation to client needs
is an asset to her team.
Laura Christie. Bookings
Co-ordinator - Joins
us from another Agency where she has worked as a carer within
nursing homes and a Co-Ordinator – Laura is pleased
to be part of the Unit Division covering all care shifts for
the Edinburgh Council Residential Units, nursing homes and
nurseries.
Jackie Walker, Placement Officer – Childcare – is
part of the Unit Division working with Laura and Sarah to interview
care workers for residential units. Primary responsible
for Children and Families in the placing of nannies and nursery
workers on a temp and perm basis. With years of
experience working as a nanny, she is keen to take on this
challenge with great enthusiasm.
Deborah Sutherland. Bookings
Co-ordinator – Deborah
is based at our Haddington Branch and has risen to the challenge
of starting up this office – dedicated and committed
to building care at home hours, she co-ordinates all the administration
involved in taking on packages of care as well as the interviewing
and matching of care workers. Deborah also is hands on
carrying out the care required.
Jackie Walker – Childcare
Placement Officer – works
part time in the selection and placement of nannies and nursery
staff – Jackie is based at home and comes into the office
twice a week – all enquiries shall be forwarded onto
Jackie immediately via e-mail. Jackie has over 20 years
childcare experience working as a nanny and housekeeper.
Janice Beaton – Team
Leader, East Lothian an
experienced Senior Care Worker qualified SVQ III in Health
and Social Care – Janice has worked in East Lothian for
over 20 years and has joined the Haddington Office to utilise
her skills and experience in this challenging role.
Kathy Young – has
been with the Company for since 2002 when she joined as care
worker – within
2 years she moved to the administration side as a co-ordinator
and now works the night shift. This shift is the administration
and rapid response shift dealing with any emergencies.
David Bell – works
on alternative shifts with Kathy – an experienced care workers and co-ordinator
who has been with the Company for 3 years. David also
works hands on within the Community.
